"One of the greatest feelings in life is the conviction that you have
lived the life you wanted to live--with the rough and the smooth, the good and
the bad--but yours, shaped by your own choices, and not someone else's."

Nashville

You thought I was gone forever didn't you?!? NOPE!!! There has just been a lot going on in this Red Cottage Life...so much so that I haven't had a chance to blog about it!

Tonight I am wrapping up my last visit in Nashville with my dear friend Blair (one of The Nine) where she is currently working on her Masters of Divinity at Vanderbilt Divinity School....yes I hang out with super smart people (wait until I finally get around to an explanation of The Nine and my High School Friends)...no that does not mean I am super smart...:)!!
We had a FANTASTIC time as always!!!
Below are some of my favorites of Nashville and of my trip this year...

I absolutely love love love this restaurant....and I will miss it DEEPLY next year when Blair is not in Nashville anymore...I had that meal last year and this year...AMAZING MEAL!!!

Probably my favorite person that Blair met in Nashville.
Khette is one of the most genuine people I have ever met and her laugh is infectious.

A tree at Vanderbilt in front of a GORGEOUS Chapel.

The gooses (yes, I am aware that it should be geese but I like the way "gooses" sounds better...okay??) that always greet me at Blair's apartment complex...

Me being ultra silly....

Blair looking to the heavens for some help for me....
She does this alot...I wonder if it because it is habit from her training to become a Methodist Preacher...of if it is just because
she thinks I need serious help...
Finally....
This year...
We decided to take some "senior portraits"
(at least that's what it felt like when we were taking them...)

My Senior Portrait....

So here's to Nashville and three wonderful weekends....
and more importantly here's to the wonderful weekends ahead...
Wishing You a Wonderful Friend in a Wonderful City~

  2. Hey! It's Amanda. Reading your blog makes me realize that you (and your mama) are blessed with traits I'd like to bring out more of in myself--appreciating the life that we are given, and loving every moment, and creating wonderful times with family...and living simply. So thank you to you and your mom. :)

And hey, want to come visit me in ATL sometime? Faith Anne can come, Bea would like to play with her I'm sure! :)
